FAQ – Laser Hair Removal

The ICE Soprano Titanium uses the latest ICE Plus technology that ensures your laser hair removal treatments are pain free and safe and precisely targets the follicles using light with colour, the blood and pigments absorb the light which in turn weakens the hair and the hair then falls out.

The Soprano ICE Titanium features ground-breaking technology that ensures full coverage whilst the ICE Plus technology cools the skin surface preventing superficial burns.

The Soprano ICE Titanium works on three elements:

  • Cooling- Protects the skin

  • Laser- Removes the hairs

  • Movement – Allows for comfort

All of this combined has awarded the Soprano Titanium Best New Treatment 2019-2020!

All our therapist are qualified and experienced, so you will be in safe hands and have the relevant licence to undergo our treatments.

Soprano ICE Titanium is virtually painless, the cooling part of this great technology allows for virtually no pain, yet is still highly effective.

Every client is different, it depends on many factors. Usually within 2-3 weeks you will see the dead hair fall out and after around 3 sessions you will notice some changes for example; patchy growth, slower growth and/or thinner hair growth.

YES!!! The good thing about the Soprano ICE Titanium it caters for all skin tones, however we will need to do a consultation to make sure you don’t have any medical conditions or are on any medication that will affect the treatment, this consultation is done with all skin tones.

Yes, the Soprano ICE Titanium is the only machine within the UK that is FDA approved to be safe to work on tanned skin. We do advise to use a SPF 50 sunscreen lotion throughout the year and no direct sunlight 24 Hours before and 24 Hours after treatment i.e sunbathing.

As long as you are happy to either cover the tattoo or agree to leave at least 2 cm distance from your tattoo then all should be well…but remember consultation is still required.

It all depends on the areas you are treating and your skin tone, underarms can be done as quickly as a minute!!!

Please ensure you shave 24 hours before your appointment. If you have not removed your hair from the area/s that will be treated, we will not be able to carryout your treatment/s.

You MUST avoid bleaching, plucking, waxing, hair removal creams, threading, epulating, tanning including fake tan 2 weeks prior to treatment. If have had a history of cold sores, zovirax may be used prior to treatment and continued one week after treatment.

Please wear loose clothing on the day of your appointment and for 48 hours postpone any task that involve increasing the temperature of your body, for example: hot baths/showers (warm is okay), exercises, sauna, steam rooms.

We would suggest to purchase spf 50 sunscreen and aleo vera.

For first time users, the best results ate usually between 8 to10 sessions but some areas may need more or less. We have made the packages cheaper then the single course to help with budgeting, we also provide instalment plans which dont require credit checks.

You can have your laser hair removal treatment done, however we will not treat any area intimate areas. You may be slightly more sensitive whilst on your period so please inform your therapist prior to starting. You will still be in safe hands we just want to make sure if needed we can adjust the settings, but this will not affect the outcome of the treatment, its more for comfort.

We understand that prior to any form of laser hair removal treatment, a person would like to understand a little more and also check if they are eligible, therefore we do not charge for the consultation but ask you to pay a £50 deposit. Patch test is also done at the time of consultation.

No, If you wish you can book a patch test and laser hair removal treatment on the same day but will have to wait up to 30 minutes after patch test before we can go ahead with treatment. In rare occasions, we may ask you to wait 24 hours due to your medical history.

In simple terms, yes as long as we have completed a full consultation and patch test.

Results vary from person to person, and hormonal changes can affect the hair growth as well, but we expect long-term results. Unfortunately laser hair removal does not work on grey/white or light blonde hair.

The therapist will ask you to complete some forms, this helps the therapist understand your medical conditions and/or medication as well as the area you wish to treat. You will be informed of how the machine works, how it will feel and what the therapist will be doing during your laser hair removal treatment. You will be provided with information on aftercare and the therapist will recommend how many treatments you should start off with.  You can ask as many questions as you like, all our therapist are friendly and helpful so you will feel right at home.

The treatment/patch test will involve the therapist applying gel to the skin and then setting up the machine to suit you, they will the apply the handpiece to your body and start with applying the cooling system to your skin yo protect it, after a short while the laser will be activated and the therapist will gentle move the handpiece across the area of the skin ( you will hear a beeping sound from the machine but this is perfectly normal).

We say around 4-6 weeks, however this depends on the area you are treating and your hair cycle but not before 4 weeks.

It is still possible to have laser hair removal if you have eczema as long as you are not taking any medication or creams that contain steroids and/or any that causes sensitivity to light. If you have any areas that are extremely dry, cracked then we would avoid those areas.

It is still possible to have laser hair removal, as long you are not taking any medication or creams that contain steroids or causes sensitivity to light to the skin. We will complete a consultation with you and a patch test to make sure all is ok.

We are able to treat you but will avoid any areas that have keloids, as long as you are not taking any medication or having treatment that may affect the light sensitivity of the skin. We will carry out a consultation and patch test to make sure all is ok.

It all depends, if its mild and/or you do not have light hair (blonde or white hair) then yes we are able to treat. We would carry out a consultation prior to starting your laser hair removal treatment.
